Below are some photos of Treyden between June 24 and July 3. We had a reunion with our pregnancy classmates, to meet all the kiddos and Treyden learned a little more about the world before his first plane trip.
Below is a slideshow of events between May 31 and June 23. At the ripe age of almost 3 weeks, Treyden was paid a visit from Doug’s parents who traveled out from Virginia to see Treyden and celebrate Doug’s 30th birthday. Also included are pictures from Treydens first 3 mountain hikes and his first camping trip.
Our baby boy was born yesterday, May 11th, 2008 at 5:57pm. A wonderful Mother’s Day present for Lana! We’ve named him Treyden Scot Klingemann. At birth he was 7lbs 13ozs, 20.5 inches long, 15 inch head circumference. Both Treyden and Mom are doing well. Here are a few pictures…

Kicking the ball around
This evening Lana wanted a little exercise so we went out in front of our place to kick the soccer ball around. We took Treyden out in the car seat to watch but he it didn’t take long for him to get fussy. Doug picked him up to calm him and ended up kicking the ball a few times. Amazingly, Treyden fell right asleep. This may end up being part of the nightly bedtime routine.
And the result…hanging on tight but sound asleep…
I’m already becoming a pro at typing with one hand. Treyden’s resting in my left arm as I type.
With Lana pregnant, we had a bit of a mellow winter, compared to most, but we were still able to have a few adventures. We spent Christmas in Winter Park with Lana’s dad, and then traveled to Utah with friends for New Years, and finally returned back to Winter Park to play with Lana’s brother’s family.
In late January (6 months pregnant) Lana was able to spend a girl’s weekend in Steamboat with her good friend Julie. And in late March, Lana’s mom came for a week of hiking, eating, talking, and overall hanging out.
The Utah ski trip was with our good friends Jeanne and Mike (from San Francisco) and Tara and Ray (from Boulder). Near the end of the trip, we also got to hang out with our buddy Rex from Boulder.
Here’s Jeanne and Mike relenting to Gunner who was adamant about having a spot on the couch in our hotel room.
In October Doug’s brother, Patrick had a class in Denver. He and his girlfriend, Joy, extended the trip to hang out with us for a few days on either side of the class.
After going go-carting on their arrival day, we went hiking in the Indian peaks with our friends Tara and Ray. Here’s everyone with the dogs in the foreground (Doug, Patrick, Joy, Ray, and Tara).
